If you have ever taught of becoming an entrepreneur, this article is made for you. We all know it is risky to create our own company, you need to learn a lot about economics, finances, accounting, profit, salary, laws, marketing and a lot more! All this knowledge will help you to be an entrepreneur. You have to be creative, smart and patient if you want to enter the business world. I'm motivated to write this career summary because it is my dream to become a boss since I was 14 years old, and I would like to inform people more about this career because it's not easy as they think.
What is it like to be an entrepeneur?
It is fun if you like to be a leader and working under pressure. It's not easy even if you are your own boss, you have to be patient because most of the time, it takes time to make a great profit, you have to sacrifice a lot. You can make your own decisions without the judgment of someone else, you control your destiny, but you can't control the uncontrollable factors.
What do entrepeneurs do?
Entrepreneurs develop, design, produce, market, and sell businesses with the end goal of financial profit. They are the brain to all the operation, they engaged who they want, and they undertake a lot of risks. Entrepreneurs think about their company all the time, they always have to be aware of anything that can happen. They are making contracts and making sure that everything is in order.
What do entrepeneurs do on a typical day?
It really depends on the business that the entrepreneur have, where he works, how many business doe he has? Do he always has to be there? Does he have an accountant, someone that helps him, or does he do everything by himself? But in general, entrepreneurs have to make sure that everything is good, make calls, check their bank account, tell to the employee a plan or what is due for the day. Usually, their work a lot of hours per day, higher than the normal amount.
Where do entrepeneurs work?
Entrepreneurs work in a variety of places. It is different to one business to another, There are businesses that the boss has his office, that the boss works at home, that the boss is always on the road to go place to place. Some entrepreneurs can work anywhere if they don't have an office.
How can I become an entrepeneur?
First of all, you need to have a plan and be motivated, without this, your business will fail. The beginning is important, you need to have capital and money to build your business. Some entrepreneurs are born leaders, self-motivated, self-taught, and driven by their vision and natural talents. Some entrepreneurs will learn the skills of entrepreneurship with education related to business and finances.
How much money do entrepeneurs make?
The average entrepreneur's salary in Canada is $70 000 per year. It is one of the jobs that the salary depends on the most between entrepreneurs. An entrepreneur can make $40 000 and another can make more than $150 000 per year, It depends on a lot of things, not everyone is in the same field, doing the same services or having the same number of employees. Usually, there's no fix salary,
What kinds of additional training do entrepeneurs need?
Some entrepreneurs go to university to learn more about finances, marketing, accounting and economic because theses are primordial things to know as an entrepreneur. However, there's people that take some entrepreneurship class just to learn more about the career.
What are the dangers of being an entrepeneur?
The first danger that is more common is taking risks. There's people that put all their money on a company that will not work at the end, and they will be ruined, or there's people that can be in debt for a long time if it doesn't work. They can never know if it's going to work 100%, unexpected situation can happen too. Also, it can be danger to the mental health of some people du to the amount of working hours, a lot of stress and not a lot of free time.
What are the chances that entrepeneurs will be replaced by robots soon?
There's no chance on earth that entrepreneurs can be replaced by robots because even robots require entrepreneurs to create them, sell them and put them in place. The artificial technology cannot have ideas, be creative or manage people. In every business, it will always need a boss to control everything. Also, robots don't have a brain. Robots can replace factory jobs, but not entrepreneurs because it is the entrepreneurs that buy them for their work.
What age do entrepeneurs retire at?
It really depends. Some entrepreneurs retire at 45 or 75 years old, or some never retire, they die being an entrepreneur because they know someone will succeed them after passing away. It really depends on what business do you have, if you had made so much money that you can retire anytime, there are businesses where the owner doesn't want somebody else to replace him. The average age that entrepreneurs retire at is between 50 and 60 years old.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the career summary was about the job of entrepreneur because it is related to my field of study. It's my penultimate semester in cegep, I'm studying in Social Sciences - Commerce which is a pre university program to study business and finance. My goal is to have a university degree in administration, I will be able to work at great companies or being the boss. My plans will be either working in a renowned company or be the boss of my own business. My main goal in the future is to become an independent boss like my father.
